Dr. Don Tyndall is Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences and General Dentistry at the UNC School of Dentistry. He received his D.D.S. in 1980 from the UNC School of Dentistry, his M.S.P.H. in Radiological Hygiene and Medical Physics from the UNC School of Public Health in 1984, and his Ph.D. in Health Physics and Radiation Biology from UNC in 1988.
He has won several awards for teaching excellence at UNC. Dr. Tyndall has been the Director of Radiology for the School of Dentistry from 1988 to the present and serves as the course director for two pre-doctoral radiology courses. Dr. Tyndall has also served as a Commissioner on the North Carolina Radiation Protection Commission from 1988 to 2005 and as Program Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Graduate Program at the School of Dentistry from 1993 to 2006. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and was a Director and past President of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. Dr. Tyndall is currently the Councillor for Scientific Affairs and Public Policy of the Executive Council of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.
Dr. Tyndall holds memberships in such organizations as the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, The International Association of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology and the International Association for Dental Research. His research interests include: 3-D digital imaging, implant radiology, applications of cone beam computed tomography in dentistry and the use of computers in image processing. His work has been published in more than 85 journal articles.
Dr. Reznick is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He received his undergraduate Biology degree from CAL-Berkeley, Dental degree from Tufts University, and his M.D. degree from the University of Southern California. He did his internship in General Surgery at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena and trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at L.A. County- USC Medical Center.
His special clinical interests are in the areas of facial trauma, jaw and oral pathology, dental implantology, sleep disorders medicine, laser surgery, and jaw deformities. He also has expertise in the integration of digital photography and 3-D imaging in clinical practice.
He frequently lectures at continuing education meetings, and has published articles in JADA, Journal of the California Dental Association, Oral Surgery-Oral Medicine-Oral Pathology, Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry, DentalTown Magazine, CE Digest, and Gastroenterology.
His advice and comments are frequently seen in DentalTown Magazine and on the website DentalTown.com. He is an Administrator of the DentalTown Message Boards and a Moderator of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery section. He was also one of the first contributors to DentalTown’s Online CE. Dr. Reznick is one of the Founders of the website OnlineOralSurgery.com, which educates practicing dentists and dental students in basic and advanced oral surgery techniques.
Dr. Reznick is also a consultant to a number of manufacturers and suppliers of dental and surgical instruments and equipment. He is the Director of the Southern California Center for Oral and Facial Surgery in Tarzana, California.
At Ohio State University Dr. Patel served as the
Implant Prosthodontic Fellow and established many
of the techniques and protocols for Digital Implantology and Prosthetics. He lectures
internationally in the fields of 3D-Imaging, Computer
Generated Guided Implant Surgery, and the art of stereo lithography in dental applications.
Dr. Robert E. Lamb received his D.D.S. in 1967 from the University of California in San Francisco and his M.S.D. and certificate in Periodontics in 1972 from the University of Washington. His honors include O.K.U. Honorary Dental Fraternity, Orban Award from the American Academy of Periodontology, Saul Schluger Endowed Visiting Professorship at the University of Washington, membership in the Studiengruppe für Restaurative Zahnheilkunde, honorary membership in the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ästhetische Zahnheilkunde, and honorary memberships in the Indian Academy of Osseointegration and the International Academy of Advanced Interdisciplinary Dentistry. He has taught in the Department of Periodontics at the University of the Pacific since 1972 and is a Visiting Professor in Graduate Periodontics at the University of Washington.
Dr. Lamb is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the California Society of Periodontics, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the San Mateo County Dental Society, the Studiengruppe für Restaurative Zahnheilkunde, the Deutschen Gesellschaft für Parodontologie, the European Federation of Periodontology, the International Academy of Periodontology, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ästhetische Zahnheilkunde, the European Association for Osseointegration, the European Dental Association, the Indian Academy of Osseointegration, and the International Academy of Advanced Interdisciplinary Dentistry.
Dr. Lamb has published in periodontal textbooks and various dental journals and lectures extensively both nationally and internationally while maintaining a private practice limited to periodontics and implantology in Foster City, California. Dr. Lamb is also the founder and owner of the Interdisciplinary Dental Education Academy (IDEA) in Foster City, California.
Dr. Mol received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Utrecht and a Ph.D. degree in Oral Radiology from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He completed a two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester NY and worked as an Assistant Professor in the Eastman Department of Dentistry of the University of Rochester. Dr. Mol completed the Oral Radiology program of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.
Currently, Dr. Mol is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences and General Dentistry of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he is involved in teaching, patient care and research. His research interests include three-dimensional imaging and digital image processing. Dr. Mol serves as the Associate Editor for Dentomaxillofacial Radiology and is a reviewer for a number of Radiology related journals.
